Bearing dimensions and clearances matter as much as a connector’s name. Two items with the same general description may fit an arrangement differently.
Consider both connected parts
Pin, eye, ring and hook clearances form part of the application. Describe loading direction and potential movement. A photograph alone cannot establish suitability.
Provide the critical drawing dimensions
Drawings, part numbers and manufacturer references are clearer than a verbal description alone. Keep missing dimensions as open technical questions rather than guessing them.
State the intended use
Lifting, towing, securing and general connection requests should not be treated as interchangeable. Select for the intended use and assess within manufacturer limits.
A short enquiry checklist

This guide supports technical communication. It is not site-specific selection, inspection or approval for use; follow relevant manufacturer instructions and competent assessment.
